The inspiration for this painting came from a programme about excavations in central Europe where images of a bird-headed goddess were found. This was a time when the female goddess image was being destroyed and it is the first site where a male god figure was found together with female goddess images, showing the time of transition in societal worship.
This goddess figure has a Rainbow Lorikeet wing at its centre (it was lying beside my car one day, out of nowhere), with a cockatoo feather at the base, and a Metamorphosis Quartz at the top. There are also small Sodalite tumbled stones around the goddess figure. The painting is 15.5" x 15.5" x 0.5" (39.5cms x 39.5cms x 1.5cms. Postage price T.B.A.
