Yemaya Dreaming
This painting is a tribute to the element of Water. Yemaya is the goddess of the Oceans in the African Oshun and Afro-Caribbean traditions. The Dreaming path links her with Australia as I feel both Africa and Australia are linked by the sun and the sea. The painting is 3' x 1.5' (91.5cms x 46cms). There are sea-shells, natural coral and sea-glass embedded around the rainbow serpent of Yemaya and her body, under the surface coat, is multi-faceted too. Painting would need to be collected, or delivered personally for pick-up in one of the main Melbourne stations. Otherwise, for further afield, it would need to be crated, so shipment price would have to be advised.
