When I step into the creative process, I work with prayers, meditation, the unseen energies of the spirit world, the support of Mother Earth and the stone spirits, and flower and gem essences. Gem essences are created individually as called into being by the art or jewelry I’m co-creating. I also work with flower and gem essences in the water for the brushes in use in artwork.

SoulSong Art
I create these personalised works on flat, white art canvas, 34.5 x 46cm (13.75” x 18.25”). I get a sense of whether the board will be vertical or horizontal and what the background colours will be. Then I wait until the images and colour start arriving. I work with acrylics, pastels and oil pastels, as well as anything else that takes my fancy, such as glitter paint. I also incorporate crystals, wood, feathers, etc., as I feel drawn. Each piece of art is completely individual to the person ordering the work.

Healing Mandalas
Circles are in and around us – the sun, the Earth, tree trunks, cells within us, our inner energy wheels – the chakras. Circle-based mandalas can awaken your inner vision to take you deep into inner, healing journeys. I create personalised mandalas on black foam core board using art pencils. When I get a vision of the images I need to work with, I draw the patterns and symbols in white pencil, and then add colours over the white, shading to illuminate the light within the symbols. I have no idea what I’m going to create when I get going, and I’m pretty much always surprised by the final product. The trick is not to draw what you think you ought to depict, but to trust that the images that turn up are the ones I need to work with. It is an inspiring process.

Jewellery
My jewellery focuses on creating necklaces, bracelets and earrings in conjunction with the stone spirits. I listen to which stone spirits wish to step forward to be incorporated in whatever piece I am creating. I may create a wrap for a single stone spirit, or work with semi-precious gemstones and chips. Colours are important to me too as they are an integral part of the healing process so I also work with focal beads if I feel called to incorporate them in the work I’m creating. My aim is to offer simple, affordable jewellery which showcase the elements whose essence is healing.

Gem Essences
I co-create gem essences in a sacred process with the stone spirits. It means listening to my heart for the answers and sometimes I am very surprised by which stone spirits become part of each essence. Essences are created by opening up a sacred space where a bowl of spring water is placed and within it another bowl with the stone spirits. These are then left for however long is indicated by the stone spirits.

Australian Bush Flower Essences
I work with the vibrational flower remedies created by Ian White to create personalised flower essences according to your needs. We work together to listen for those essences which resonate for you and discuss what each offers you in a deeper understanding of your healing needs.
